Sundeep, the eye behind the work

Truth

Documentary Photography by Sundeep Kaur Sitara

"I photograph what I am trying to understand, the sacred hiding inside the ordinary, the grace inside the struggle."

Photography, for Sundeep, is not a separate discipline from her practice of yoga, breath, and service, it is a continuation of the same impulse: to pay close attention. To slow down long enough that what is really there becomes visible. Her archive spans fifteen years and crosses continents, cultures, and communities, yet returns always to the same essential question: what does it look like when a human being is fully present?

Three Ways of Seeing

Work Together

Sundeep accepts a small number of commissions each year for editorial, documentary, and portrait work. She is particularly drawn to projects that exist at the intersection of community, spirituality, and the quietly extraordinary.

Limited edition archival prints from the existing collections are also available. Each print is hand-numbered and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
